A surprising solution to a common problem

Check this out:

Teacher sells ads on tests to cover printing costs.

Not an ideal way to fund teachers’ expenses, but intriguing. It’s a good wake-up call, if nothing else. This article says that on average, teachers spend $450 (a year?) out of pocket on school expenses. I can certainly believe that. According to some fairly general numbers, average teachers’ salaries are under $43,000… which means…..

You know what? Forget this math crap. Schools don’t get enough funding, and teachers are making up the difference out of their own insufficient salaries.

So… anyone want to buy some advertising space on my Spanish tests?

Thanks for stopping by! I am glad to have dodged the diaper stage, in most cases… that’s some real bravery. 😉

I’ll give you twenty bucks to put a picture of me on the bottom of your tests with the caption “Be very afraid”
